COVID- 19 UPDATE

From the 1st July 2020 we will be able to carry out a greater range of treatments for our patients who are not displaying Covid-19 symptoms.

We will be able to provide temporary fillings, extractions and other minor treatments which do not involve the use of water/aerosols. We will be seeing those in greatest need first e.g. Pain, swelling, sharp teeth. No routine treatment and check-ups will be possible however at this stage.

The practice will be open from 1st July on weekdays 9am-2pm to emergencies by appointment only. Please ring 01656 655400 to arrange an appointment from this date if you feel you need to be seen urgently.

Until the 1st July we will maintain our telephone triage service on the same number on weekdays 9am-1pm. From 1pm (or 2pm after 1st July) until 5pm weekdays please ring 07940887886 for advice. On weekends/bank holidays and after 5pm weekdays ring 111 for advice.

When attending for an appointment after 1st July we would be grateful if you would follow these guidelines:

1)       Please use the bathroom at home before leaving.

2)       Attend alone if possible – a parent may accompany their child.

3)       Please leave bags and extra items at home.

4)       Please wait in your car /outside until we telephone you to enter the practice.

5)       Please use hand gel on arrival. We will take your temperature to ensure you are not symptomatic.

6)       Please do not touch anything when you make sure way to your surgery.

7)       Please wherever possible payment will be taken in advance over the phone before your appointment but otherwise please bring contactless card as no cash will be accepted.

After treatment

1)       Please do not touch any surfaces on exiting the surgery arriving at reception.

2)       Contactless payment will be taken for those who are unable to pay over the phone and for any private patients.

3)       Please return home immediately.

If a dentist assesses you and feels it is necessary for you to have treatment which involves aerosols/water they may refer you to an emergency dental centre for this to be completed.

Bethan Parry has now left the practice. Alison Reed has joined us and will be covering Beth’s patients and also Fiona Gordons until she returns from maternity leave. If you wish to see your own dentist, they will be working the following days from 1st July.
